Welcome to Hope Haven!

Hello 2024!!

An Amazing New Chapter!

For the last 12 years our Sanctuary has been a haven for farm animals in need, offering them refuge, rehabilitation and a forever home. In January we purchased a second breathtaking property in Harmony. We are expanding!!! This huge step marks a milestone in our journey, allowing us to further our impact, rescue more animals, and reach even more individuals with our message of compassion and care.

At our new property, we aim to create a farm that not only honors or rescued animals but also champions environmental consciousness and stewardship. Through meticulously designed living areas, our rescued animals will receive the utmost care and comfort, ensuring they thrive in their new home.

Embracing sustainability at every turn, we'll harness the power of solar energy, implement robust water containment practices, and explore many eco-friendly initiatives to minimize our carbon footprint and protect the planet we call home.

Expanding our scope of compassion, we'll delve into the intersection of animal welfare and environmental protection, offering educational programs and community involvement opportunities centered around gardening, permaculture, and sustainable living practices. We even plan to have an apiary to not only provide a safe haven for our bee friends but also serve as a symbol of our commitment to biodiversity and ecosystem health.

Through these initiatives, we hope to foster a deeper connection between humans, animals, and the environment, inspiring others to join us in our mission of compassion, conservation, and community building. Together, we'll create a Sanctuary that not only saves lives but also serves as a beacon of hope for a more harmonious and sustainable future. We would love for you to join us!

Hope Haven is a 501(c)3 non-profit farm animal sanctuary nestled in the North Hills of Pittsburgh, PA. Our mission is to rescue neglected pigs, goats, sheep, llama, donkey, alpaca, emu, and all farm birds. These animals have been surrendered at local animal shelters, confiscated by local humane agents and police, or saved from factory farms. They now live out their lives with comfortable housing, nutritious food, and companionship from others of their own kind. They also receive endless love and affection from the human components of the sanctuary!

Hope Haven is also a resource to raise public awareness about the plight of animals raised for human use. Here at the farm we promote a cruelty-free, plant-based lifestyle. Rather than focusing on the horrors and cruelty inherent in factory farming we want to showcase the individuality and personality of farm animals. Our hope is that when people realize these animals are sentient beings deserving of compassion they will make up their own minds to respect life and adopt a cruelty-free lifestyle.
